The Glass Palette offers classes in various glass art techniques, including Fusing and Slumping, Lampworked Bead Making, Sandblasting, Stained Glass, and Fused Glass Jewelry with Precious Metal Clay. Classes are recommended for students of high-school age through adult.
Walk-Ins and Summer Studio Camps are offered to accomodate younger children.

KILN FORMED GLASS - FUSING AND SLUMPING
This class is a great way to enter the world of glass art. You will learn the basics of glass cutting, creative two-dimensional design, fusing (combining colors) and slumping (shaping glass into or over molds to create flat and dimensional forms). Firing schedules and annealing will be discussed, and each week students will
have the opportunity to create a new piece. Tuition: $225 including materials.
Wednesdays 6:00 - 8:30 pm: July 7, 14 & 21.
ADVANCED FUSING WORKSHOP
Explore advanced techniques while creating a 9” x 12” fused glass panel of your own design. Multiple firings, use of powders, frits and stringers will be practised. This class is designed for those who have taken our basic fusing class, or who have some experience with glass fusing or stained glass. Tuition: $185 includes materials.

PRECIOUS METAL CLAY with GLASS JEWELRY
You can make beautiful real silver jewelry using Precious Metal Clay!
Learn how to cut and assemble glass pieces for use in jewelry, and how to make unique glass cabachons for use with Precious Metal Clay. PMC is real fine silver (99.9% pure) in a soft clay base which can be formed into almost any shape you wish. After it's fired in the kiln, the clay has burnt off and you're left with a beautiful silver and glass piece of jewelry!
Class size limited to 5 students. Tuition $200 including glass and tools; PMC is additional.

STAINED GLASS
Explore the timeless art of stained glass in this beginning level course. Learn how to create effective designs, cut glass to fit your designs, and assemble the glass for beauty and stability using the copper foil technique. Those with some experience are encouraged to attend. Projects can be tailored to skill level. Each student will create a 10” x 12” panel , framed and ready to hang.
Class size limited to 7 students. Tuition: $275 including materials.

INTRODUCTION TO BEAD MAKING
Creativity is encouraged in this beginning level bead making course. Learn to make many styles of glass beads using tools and equipment compatible with home set-up. Students will receive instruction on safety, equipment, glass properties, annealing and technique. Hands-on practice is emphasized, and class size is limited to ensure adequate attention to each student. Tuition $225 including materials.
Sundays 12:00 - 3:30 pm: July 11 & 18.
BRONZE CLAY ONE-DAY WORKSHOP
Practise basic techniques for working with bronze clay, learn firing procedures and understand differences between bronze and other metal clays. Each student will create their own peices, ready to pick up the following week.
Tuition: $110 includes clay.
Sunday 12:00 - 3:30 pm: August 15.
